Thanksgiving is a day meant to spend with family and friends. But sometimes life brings you together with strangers — and sometimes those strangers can even be neighbors.
The owner of the the Galaxy Apartments, in Gardena, hosted a free Thanksgiving meal for the 95-unit complex’s tenants Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 27.
Tenants, friends and others gathered in the complex’s courtyard around noon — despite some light rain — to serve up plates and enjoy holiday dishes. While most apartment tenants tend not to mingle with other residents, these strangers came together to enjoy the comfort of their neighbors.
